Advanced Digital Corp. or ADC as they were often called, came late to the
S-100 board business. They were founded in 1980 and made a big splash in
1983 and 1984 with a number of very capable Z80 master/slave SBC's. They
were essentially gone in 1987 turning to IBM-PC add-on boards. They
did come out with one compete system the Super-Star. It had a 4 user
master/slave Z80 setup of CPU boards, a 10MB Hard disk, a 5MB Removable
cartridge and a 5" floppy (Osborne format) in a 6 slot S-100 motherboard.
They more or less competed head on with
Teletek and Earth Computers
which had similar systems. They were located first in Garden Grove, later
Huntington Beach, CA.
Currently I have no further information about the company, its founders or
